Search Intelligence
Understanding search behaviour in 2026 is about meeting people where they are, and removing the assumption that we're all Googling everything all the time. Lots of us are. But we are also working with a fundamentally game-changing shift towards Large Language Models, Answer Engines and social media platforms are all being used as the search engines Google once was.
How these principles are applied
When taking on any new search project, our approach consists of some starting fundamentals:
Where your audience is
First we'll look at where your audience is seeking out your content and how they search for it, so that we can formulate a search strategy specific to your business and in line with consumer behaviour in your market.
What the data shows
We use a range of tools to identify how people engage with different platforms on specific topics. This ensures any content and audience strategies are fuelled by data specific to you and your subject matter landscape.
Radical honesty
What if SEO isn't relevant for my business anymore?
Then we pivot.
It's not my job to blindly sell SEO strategies, and this is fundamentally the core of my business - it's my job to tell you what is worth your time, and that's why Intent Philosophy exists.
If I come to the conclusion that spending your time on SEO isn't going to get you the results you need, we need to look at the options - and that is the core of Intent Philosophy.
We can't assume that everything is doable on Google anymore, because it isn't - many beauty businesses are pivoting to social video, for example, because users would rather watch a before/after shot than read a page. Similarly, many users are turning to LLMs for financial content, and Google just changed its rules around surfacing reviews. We have to look at it holistically.
