SEO Strategy Consultancy
Stuck in a traffic rut? You may be finding that things that used to work for your website no longer have the same impact, or that you're no longer able to rank for keywords you used to own. The landscape has changed - have you?
So much of SEO in 2026 is about prioritisation and knowing what is worth your time. For many clients, this is where we come in.
SEO audit projects identify what needs to be improved on your website, whilst strategic consultancy focuses more on what to do once you've implemented all those lovely fixes. It also looks at where your audience may be pivoting to LLMs.
If you're looking for an ongoing plan to help you move forward by building a strategic and bespoke approach to SEO and GEO, you're in the right place – but ensure that your website is in a fit technical state first; the audit is the foundation.
Common SEO strategy focuses
Page drop analysis + landscape advice
Are your top performing pages no longer top performing? This is something we've seen a lot of this year. The roll-out of AI overviews in search has resulted in many pages not bringing in the traffic they were, but this can also be down to a range of factors including EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trust), duplication, reducing interest. Whatever it going on, we'll help you work it out.
Strategic keyword research
Social media is a search engine, and we've all got AI to contend with – but no, SEO isn't dead. You just need to reprioritise your keyword targeting and become more strategic about how you approach it. Are your customers still using Google to find your product or service? If so, what content do they expect to see when they get there? What is their intent? This part of your strategy provides important context that no tool can give you!
Duplication + cannibalisation
Any decent SEO audit should bring up any duplication or structural issues, but as a key area of concern, sometimes it requires a little further digging. This is one of our areas of specialism, and we work with clients to get engines really clear on the content a website has and what it's for. This work is vital for ensuring Google knows what to rank, when, and preventing or fixing penalisation.
SEO Strategy FAQs

What is EEAT?
EEAT is one of the most important elements of SEO and AEO in 2026 (if not the most important!) and is an acronym for Experience, Expertise, Authority and Trust. This acronym represents the ways Google is choosing what to rank, and it's all about how authoritative and reliable you are on your subject. It's also a large part of which content gets cited in LLMs and Google's AI Overviews.
What is the difference between an SEO audit and SEO strategy?
SEO audits are about fixing issues, and provide the foundations for any further work. The purpose of an audit is to identify any errors with the fundamentals of a website, and provide key areas of improvement. It's generally a more technical SEO project that may involve input from your web developer, work in the CMS and removal or restructuring of content. You can have the most wonderful content strategy in the world, but nobody is going to see it if your website is on fire.
The strategy part looks to build on this. It creates a bespoke, ongoing approach for how to target your most important keywords most effectively, and what is worth focusing on moving forward. It will incorporate content more heavily, and may involve looking at how you are utilising other channels.
